"I am about to depart this life. I have fought the good fight. I have successfully resisted every opportunity to be saved. I have never conceded one point to any Christian that I have dialogued with. I have never once succumbed to any suggestion that I will have to give an account of myself before a just and holy god at the end of my life. What now?"

Well it's good we can count on plenty of Christians to also be douche-bags in Ray's mother's thread.
You forgot to include Jewish, like Ray's mother was.
But then it would have been relevant to the topic rather than just been childish taunting.
I've always thought that it is the church's job to warn people that there is a hell to shun and a heaven to gain, and to preach Christ crucified as the way to forgiveness and eternal life. The final judgment is in the hands of the One who knows the words, deeds, thoughts intentions and circumstances of those who are judged. We, as the church, preach the law and gospel, and call people to faith in Jesus and repentance that leads to eternal life. Jesus Christ, as Judge, will dispose the cases brought before Him with equity.
And do it in the most douche-baggy way possible?
I didn't go into Ray's mothers death thread and act like an ass.

Your colourful analogy is actually quite apropros; for just as a douche bag is used to cleanse filth and impurity from a body cavity, so the final judgment will remove the filthy and offensive from the Kingdom of God.
"The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity;
And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth." (Matt. 13:41-42)
"He that is unjust, let him be unjust still: and he which is filthy, let him be filthy still: and he that is righteous, let him be righteous still: and he that is holy, let him be holy still." Revelation 22:11

Good for you. I'm glad that you didn't. I think that those who did, and used the occasion of Ray's mother's death to hurt him, were acting badly.
