If by its counsel thou wilt ruled be;
It will direct thee to the Holy Land,
If thou wilt its directions understand:
Yea, it will make the slothful active be;
The blind also delightful things to see.

Pilgrim's Progress is another book I took to Kuwait. (I gave most of my books away before I left and only took one box of my favorites). Spurgeon, I believe, read Bunyan's classic once a year.
Eddie, It never ceases to amaze me how often my life's experiences are mirrored Bunyan's story. Bunyan knew the pilgtim's life very well.
